SCA Classroom Teacher
SUMMARY
The SCA Classroom Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a preschool or elementary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher will provide classroom instruction to students.
Maintain clear, open and professional communication with parents.
Must work with administration to keep parents adequately informed of student discipline.
Integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curriculums.
Create an engaging and positive classroom atmosphere.
Follow the provided curriculum to ensure all subject matters are taught and understood.
Create units to enhance and build upon the provided curriculum.
Upload lesson plans and grades to FACTS.
Maintain order among students, showing grace and compassion.
Observe and evaluate performance, behavior, social development and physical health.
Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Read books to entire class and in small groups.
Demonstrate activities to children.
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, both in learning activities and imaginary play.
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced education is preferred.
Previous and successful teaching experience.
Good communication, problem solving, and priority setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude and disposition.
Ability to effectively plan, organize and implement educational activities.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Must be able to manage confidential information.
