Summit Christian Academy exists to create an educational experience that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth, enabling students to grow in their faith in partnership with their education. Our heart is that every child that attends Summit Christian Academy will be equipped with the knowledge and character needed to be an effective and integral leader in the community in which they live.

Staff at Summit Christian Academy play an important role in ensuring that the Summit Philosophies and Core Values are honored. Offering Before/After care helps us meet a need for many of the families that attend our school.

Responsibilities
1. Punctuality and consistency is a very important part of this position.
2. Arrive early to ensure the area is ready to welcome students.
3. Must work with administration to keep parents adequately informed of student discipline.
4. Keep record of attendance.
5. Create an engaging and positive experience for students.
6. Maintain order among students, showing grace and compassion.
7. Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, both in learning activities and imaginary play.
8. Complete all required cleaning duties before leaving.
9. Actively attend and serve in your local church. If you do not have a local church, attendance at Summit Church AK is highly encouraged.
10. It is our desire that all personnel offer volunteer services outside of the established job description and contract. All personnel are encouraged to submit a record of served hours.

Statement of Faith

We believe that men and women are made in the image of God, but that sin has separated us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that those who have faith in Christ should turn from sin. The grace of God brings salvation, the Holy Spirit regenerates the heart enabling faith that brings justification from sin. The Holy Spirit leads us in sanctification, the ongoing spiritual growth that identifies us as genuine believers and is completed only at glorification.

We believe in Heaven and hell, the literal second coming of Jesus Christ, His rule upon the earth, and the resurrection of believers to eternal life and sinners to eternal punishment, and the ultimate victory of the Kingdom of God.
